Joe G supported by Dusky Sunday
We welcome Joe G with his full band to Three Wise Monkeys Ipswich on Saturday 15th June, supported by Dusky Sunday.
Joe G writes, arranges and records his own songs. He sings and plays guitar, drums and bass. After being the frontman of the Ipswich-based rock band Heartaker he studied history at Goldsmiths, University of London, with modules at King’s College and Royal Holloway. During this time he continued to write songs and collaborate with Heartaker lead guitarist Harry Chaplin. After graduating in 2017 he completed the recording and production of his first album, Landscape, which was mixed and mastered by Jon ‘Riffioso’ Hockley and released in September 2018. Landscape is available for free download via www.joegworld.com and to stream on Youtube and Soundcloud. Joe is currently working on his second album.
Dusky Sunday is an indie-folk duo comprising of established musicians Fern Teather and Sam Thurlow. Drawing comparisons to Slow Club, Gabrielle Aplin, and Fleetwood Mac, Dusky Sunday stands out from similar bands and artists with their unique combination of catchy, lyrical songs played on acoustic guitar and hand-percussion – topped with Fern’s smooth yet powerful voice, and tailed with Sam’s bassy backing vocals.
Free Entry. Live music starts at 10pm.
